A Froggish Birthday Surprise!!!

A surprise can boost any type of celebration and turns it into something wonderful and memorable, twisting anyone's expectations in various occasions. A well-planned surprise party can leave a terrific impact in the honoree's life.

You can make your best friend think the whole world has been struck with amnesia and forgotten his or her birthday, until a bunch of his or her friends jump out of nowhere and shout, "Happy Birthday" while things are being thrown at him or her...

Humma2.That was the kind of surprise birthday party i received on the eve of my Birthday!!!Seriously unpredicted that things would get that "SUPERB"...I did have this suspicious thought that my college mates were hiding something behind my back. But they were very good in keeping it a secret and acted out as if nothing was going to happen.

We were at the Mamak stall on Tuesday when we discussed about my birthday celebration...They said "Nabil, we have lots of homework...can we just celebrate ur birthday on friday or during the weekends.I said "It's okie,we have lots of homework...chemistry physics german bla bla bla.

On Wednesday, the day before my birthday, nothing much happened, i got back from college, exhausted and went straight to the bed.At 9,we planned to have our chemistry group discussion at the lobby.I waited for them and went online at the same time.Few minutes before the clock strike 12 am, my friend Wee Han wished me Happie Birthday.Ting Tong,12 am, Aida called me to wish me Happie Birthday...few messages came in with birthday wishes...

Suddenly,Ina came to the lobby holding something behind her back...I was like "Ina ape benda kaw pegang tu" trying to get away from her...Ina replied "Air aku la...kaw gelabah sangat apesal".Haha...I recalled back the moment when Shun Ling got soaked with cold water, milo and carbonated drinks by the boys...I continued doing my homework when out of the blue, cold water rushed down my face...Ina kaw mmg nak kena...Omg...Then a whole bunch of my friends jump out from god knows where and flung FLOUR,OIL and more COLD WATER..I repeat FLOUR,OIL and COLD WATER...

Owh..the worst is yet to come...They passed this brown box to me saying it was my birthday gift..as if...I kept on asking them what is inside the box while shaking it whole-heartedly to guess the content within...I opened the box slightly but threw it on the floor as soon i saw something freaky freaky...

OH MY GOD!!!I opened the box and got the shock of my life...MR FROGGY!!!Arghh!!!Keeping myself far enuff from MR FROGGY,I shouted "Jahat gler korunk..aku dah la geeli kat katak" Eiii....

To make the story short and str8 to the photos....

My friends gave me a slice of secret recipe's Black Forest cake...they bought 3 regular Pizzas from Domino's and gave me a cute handmade birthday card with dried rose on it..sngt innovative. We had the birthday party in Shikin's room..The funny part was that I had to sit on few sheets of newspaper to prevent my Flour-rie arse from dirty-ing Shikin's room....We had tremendous FUN!!!

What's a hostel without a Princess?

Princess is actually the name of the brand for my classic sandwich grill.Haha.The motto is actually: What's a home without a Princess?Changes need to be done to suit a student lifestyle...

I made a promise to my college mates that I'll bring something that we can cook on...or more to grill on...

So what i did was....I asked my dad whether I can take back to my hostel the classic sandwich grill that he bought last year.Although it was with us for a long time, the grill has only been used not more that 3 times...then he said...Of course!!!Btw my mother doesn't like to use it due to the fact that the grill is too small and the food cooked on it is "too" healthy..haha....no oil is required...so yeah...

So this time i returned to the hostel not empty handed...I have something to show off....as if..But this time atleast i can save some money on my food expenses. As you know, the cost of living in Damansara is expensive...especially for a student like me...EXTREMELY pricey...
The date 3rd February 2009,was the first time i ever cooked in my hostel...Not in my room to be exact..It was Shikin's.

Going Back into Roald Dahl's life...

Analysis of the novel BOY: Tales of Childhood

Students were required to act out a scene from the novel that expresses the most impressionable incident in a child's life.

First of all, let me enlighten u guys with the review on this novel.

Boy : Tales of Childhood written by Roald Dahl portrays the life of himself from the time he was a boy until the day he gained his first job. The story revolves through the ups and downs in his early days and mainly focuses on the viciousness of the education system at that time. Vindictive punishment such as caning is an example of the brutality of the previous education system which on Roald's view had caused mental and psychological problems to the students. Not forgetting to mention the humiliation that the victim has to face. Nevertheless, the novel also tells us numerous hilarious and interesting stories of Roald's childhood and his teenage years. For example like the time when Roald came up with the idea of THE GREAT MOUSE PLOT to take revenge on the nasty Mrs Pratchett and the part that Roald played a prank on his half-sister's fiancee by putting goats dropping into the pipe he was using.Very amusing. There are also devastating and dramatic part that are illustrated in the novel.

Now...back to the drama..

The part where Roald and his friends were given a few cane strokes by their Headmaster, Mr Coombes for their GREAT MOUSE PLOT on MRS PRATCHETT, was chosen by us: Ieyna, Arlena,Rumitha,Shikin and I for our drama presentation.

Steps taken in making this drama a success..

1. Preparation of the script by our own scriptwriter, Arlena...

2. Finding the right props for the act : Cane, Tie, Old Granny glasses, name tag....and much more

3. Rehearsal two hours before English class started.

4. The moment of truth...

Characters
Nabil : Mrs Pratchett
Rumitha : Mr Coombes
Ieyna : Thwaites
Arlena : Roald Dahl
Shikin : Extras ( Deputy Headmaster and Form teacher)

My fingernails were coloured black with a crayon...Must get into the character of Mrs Pratchett who had dirty disgusting fingernails...yes...

Actor in making...as if..

Ng!!Keep ur finger off!!!

I was trying to give the evil-wicked-malevolence old woman look..

I have also included the scripts down here.....Spare some time to read it if you would like to know what our act was all about...

Scene 1

Scene 2

Scene 3

As for those of u who have read the scripts might noticed that Mrs Pratchett had a major problem with her grammar...misusing the singular and plural case. She also had this thick Norwegian accent...The letter H was never to be heard coming out from her mouth..Things made worst...She is someone who is very loud and exasperating...Potraying Mrs Pratchett was really a tough job to do.

I was actually forced to play the role of Mrs Pratchett by Rumitha who were supposed to play that role originally...I was at first intended to be in the character of Thwaites....just screaming ouch..ouch...ouch...doesn't have to talk much...but all of them teamed up against me...and said since I'm the only guy...I have to play the part of Mrs Pratchett...swapping of gender..as if.

I do think the drama was a success regardless of the fact that my hands were trembling throughout the play. What is there to say, I am like that.nothing can be done to change it.I can detect when my hands are trembling but it seems like i can't do anything to make it stop...haha..Too nervous i guess...anxiety disorder.Haha!

The other groups did a great job...I have to give my greatest salutation to Shun Ling, she can really act.Congrats Shun Ling...Nanny+ Half-Sister+Form Teacher.

We were rewarded by our teacher,Miss Chan with a Norwegian food, red liquorice to be exact...Haha...my maiden bite...a strange cherry taste that tickled my taste buds...hurm...

Red Liquorice(Licorice)

Hope to have more fun in the classroom instead of just staring at books the whole week....
